Last updated: October 2026

JS Tech Installations ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, the legal basis for doing so, how long we keep it and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

JS Tech Installations is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website. We are based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. For any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at info@jstechinstallations.co.uk.

What data we collect

When you submit an enquiry form on this website we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided) and any message you send. We do not collect payment information directly. Any payments are handled by third-party providers.

How we use your data and our legal basis

We use enquiry information solely to respond to you and communicate about our services. Our legal basis for this is our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries about our business, and where relevant taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. We will not sell, share or pass your data to any third party for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

Our contact forms are processed by Formspree (formspree.io), who store form submissions on our behalf as a data processor. Their privacy policy is available at formspree.io/privacy.

International transfers

Some of our third-party providers, including Formspree, are based outside the UK, which may involve transferring your data internationally. Where this happens, we rely on those providers' safeguards for such transfers, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent approved mechanisms, so that your data continues to receive an appropriate level of protection.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry data is retained for up to 2 years, after which it is deleted unless an ongoing business relationship requires otherwise.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request deletion, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@jstechinstallations.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first, so please contact us before approaching the ICO.

Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data. Our website is served over HTTPS and form data is transmitted securely via Formspree.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
